Other than that, how was the play, Mrs. Lincoln?

The problem with saying that "Judges are the only thing that makes McCain any better than Hillary" is, with all due respect, that it's like saying that oxygen is the only thing that makes breathing any better than suffocation. It's the issue, next to which every other issue not only pales, but fades to background noise. I've said before, "and I honestly don't think this is an exageration, that five Justices can do more harm to this country than Al Queda could ever dream of doing." And it's obvious that those that McCain would appoint will be better than those who Clinton would appoint. The very best? Of course not. But undoubtedly better; while I'd like a Justice Easterbrook, I will take a Justice Posner if the alternative is Justice Obama. Sit out this election and get used to sounds like these: "Justice Koh." "Justice Sullivan." "Justice Biden." In a fit of pique sixteen years ago, conservatives walked away from Bush Sr. and bequeathed us Justices Ginsburg and Breyer, tilting the court decidedly to the left.

As to Coulter's remarks - I have only to apply the standard articulated here: she's revealed herself as a RINO. Opposing McCain in the primary is reasonable, rational and probably even responsible. But throwing out the baby with the bathwater by acting like those environmental liberals who justified voting for Nader in 2000 on the reasoning that Buch and Gore were basically the same is absurd.

Coulter trying to get even

My fantasy reason why Coulter is saying she'll support Hillary over McCain is that McCain must have taken Coulter aside once upon a time and told her what an awful, useless, odious piece of trash he thought she was.

It really pleases me to believe this, and it probably happened anyway.

I have often said, and oftener think, that this world is a comedy for those who think, and a tragedy for those who feel. -Horace Walpole

Well, whether McCain said it or not, it's certainly true if you

ask me.

"In the world you will find tribulation, but be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world."

John 16:33

I've always thought she was

I've always thought she was a little crazy. I can even understand not voting for McCain in the general election (it would be hypocritical of me to disagree since I said I would not vote for Huckabee). However, to even joke about campaigning for Clinton (I am assuming she was trying to joke) does go a bit too far.

I respect someone who will not vote for someone because of their convictions. However, if Huckabee was the nominee, I would have just kept my mouth shut. Now I know being quiet for Ann is a bit like asking a two year old not to cry. To continue actively criticizing McCain after the nomination (assuming he gets it) crosses a line with me. Of course, I guess that is to be expected from the insane wing of the GOP. I will wait to see how she and other wingnuts (like Rush) respond if the nomination happens before I go into condemnation.

When I first heard this

When I first heard this I had one thought...
Yesssssss!
Chris

PS My second thought was maybe Hillary will inspire Coulter to wrote an autobiography
"It takes a village idiot"
